It's not very funny but I think think I'll have a laugh somehow in the sad array I'll empty out my bath isn't that a jumbo jet residin inna fire place in its wake a snappy sermon on somebody's famous face and up thar on the roof spread wide a canopy of sweets makes a woman blush deeper when she knows she's gonna meet off on yon horizon just before the night is done a looker with fame and fortune guaranteed to be the one foremost in the frilly lineage standing at the gate several discouraged bandana sagging cross the freight and they hoped they weren't too late 2. in a station wagon with the latest latest emperor's clothes drivin everybody batty with the speed of a garden hose all laid out with so many coarse unnatural thoughts seems like we're going to be wedded to everything we caught nowhere left to travel since their maps proliferate besides they reached the ocean with no swimming lesson break and they hoped they weren't too late 3. it couldn't happen to a finer hombre of the potted plain with his happenstance of cookery entitled like a hurricane listening line for jitter bugs and eggs droppin in the beer together at last and finally the happy sappy ending near so turning back what could they do but westward steer the crate ol' Mississippi soon stood barrier so they took to questionin fate and they hoped they weren't too late

It's just me ain't it obvious this ol' gambler ain't that devious gossip takes it all so serious but when it comes to dealing I'm oblivious in the town in my packard I used to be a gent got the attention of who to impress had some foldin money enough to seem like more spent it all by payday usually well before had to exit early a little trouble with the law hid out on the south side 'till the winter had its thaw slipped back in one summer night feelin out the climate all was well the sheriff retired clicked my heels and said It's just me ain't it obvious this ol' gambler ain't that devious gossip takes it all so serious but when it comes to dealing I'm oblivious at the airport I'm dropped off my driver knows the way off to convention on the circus that they say is comin to town tired humorless clowns ridiculous numbers in a volkswagon lost not found the info was outdated the clowns already left filled up bags and pockets with a practice known as theft didn't seem to matter we surely got away nothin left but home to wait for payback day It's just me ain't it obvious this ol' gambler ain't that devious gossip takes it all so serious but when it comes to dealing I'm oblivious

about

A good bit, but not all, of the lyrics in these compositions would be comfortable in the company of Surrealists painters like Magritte and de Chirico... other lines seek companions resisting militarism and greed like Sue Coe, George Grosz, Otto Dix, Daumier. The cover is an oil pastel, White Missionary.

and I got this feedback from a very clever young man.... name of Joe Ruesing: I had to renew my membership with Professional Parsing Associates of America in order to paddle my pram through the watershed of words in the first two selections. Somewhat like engaging with two doormen before entering the nightclub. That snarled snowfall of semantics, those whitewashed words of wily wisdoms.
I suddenly felt like I was sitting in the 1966 NMU cafeteria with fellow hinterland commuters when disturbed once again by that strange guy somebody kept playing on the jukebox, later identified by a credible witness as B. Dylan.
