Leonard Cohen wrote a song, I think it was called There are no Diamonds in Your Mine. It was totally pessimistic, so much so that it was funny. It influenced my song though this one is ironic in the sense that what is being claimed as value is also being debunked. It's sort of like a capitalist justifying ruthlessness, denouncing the good as bad strategy for winning.
