Watching the birds out my kitchen window I saw a hawk land nearby. The birds went scurrying for cover and I was reminded of the predator aspect of their and our lives… the death/injury that hangs over us continuously… and the consequent fear that drives us to seek safety… and the nature of reality that won't allow us to attain it… except in realization that the true us is not subject to the slings & arrows of outrageous fortune.
