This song came out of a friend's relationship. They got divorced then she asked to patch it up, he said no. Later, she gets a new bo, he comes back, asking for reconciliation... and round and round it went, never co-inciding in their wishes. A variant on the country love song, a little unique twist I think. They were both into psychology and open relationships. It got real messy but they were trying hard to be real, open, honest, trusting.
