Companion of my youth, Stan Syria, a musician and all around good bud, ran into some of life's serious, fatal in fact, obstacles. I had to write something to honor his time here. I told him about an earlier version of this song and he said, "I'm sure I'm going to sit here and let you sing me a song about me." He insisted on Stan, hated Stanley. Abit of a dare-devil he skied the competitive level jumps around Marquette, Michigan and jumped once from an airplane, just to say he'd done it.
