about

Sort of epic, this song chronicles the arising of consciousness, the scourge of war and the mystery of time and being. I recall going around asking people how to say spring in their native language for that last verse.

lyrics

Remember the day we came over the rise
to see the sun then was astounding
we had to get forgetful to survive
coming soon now now

chorus:
there's time to excavate (educate) negotiate reevaluate
what came before what comes after twenty billion years
seems like such a long time
and us all in up to our ears

2.
remember the battle of the plain of jars
didn't cost nothin but young blood
did we learn anything I did
mothers mothers fathers fathers - chorus

3.
remember the warning of the years before
violet western blue-green skies
everything I know is a metaphor
ontology epistemology synchrony - chorus

4.
remember the raven singing to her mate
their copulation was an omen
I sing to you of green as you recreate
springtime frulung, haru, pom, kwanza,
chun-kin, printemp, prima vera - chorus
