about

Reviewing my own strategies for survival I notice that I've chosen frugality, living simply so that I can, instead of holding down a career 9-5 I have time to pursue my interests, chief among which, art-making... paintings, political cartoons and songs. This in a system that by definition favors the wealthy and inevitably leaves many in poverty, those unlucky and those not quite suited to the various degrees required of ruthlessness. So this song comments on several aspects of the regime.

lyrics

It's possible to hide out here somewhere capitalism
find a comfy niche high tech toys even luxury but you gotta look away
you might be one one day lookin up for help no way
from the top of the pyramid where the hidin out is perfect
you gotta look away you gotta look away let the bottom people pay

2.
across the southern border illegals rushin in capitalism
in the belly of the beast at least you got a chance to eat some dinner
you gotta look away
it's a great and wide divide the wealth mostly on one side
up top of the pyramid where the cuisine is perfect
you gotta look away you gotta look away let the bottom people pay

3.
it's not so complicated they bought it they maintain it capitalism
indoctrinated daily intellectually made lazy
you gotta look away
you gotta look away
the game is gettin old how transparent we are sold now
from the top of the pyramid where the doctrine is perfect
you gotta look away you gotta look away let the bottom people pay
