about

You can see i'm still drifting away from the conventional love song. And the conventional received wisdom but fact is, we've been propagandized from day one. When you set that aside, or examine it, what remains is that the 1% (love that shorthand) are running things for their benefit and disallowing alternative viewpoints in their media so when you don't encounter an idea everywhere you look, when you do encounter it, it'll probably seem extreme, not credible. That of course is the purpose of marginalizing all but the "free market" POV.

As has been said, follow the money. We're lucky in the states, there aren't (yet) death squads to enforce the status quo so the sanctions we face are much milder than in many of the nations of the third world - though many believe we're on our way. Certain factions of the 1% are going for broke. They want the whole world to be a third world and they to be the elite overseers.

lyrics

Once I was a truck stop jockey
Once I ate truck stop slop
now I own truck stop stock (2x)

Once I thought Jesus was the son of a God
Once I thought I could find love in his blood
now I know that he just sunk (2x)

chorus:

funny how money can change how you see
things look different when you're on you own
and you can buy anything

2.
Once I looked up to the leaders
Once I bowed down at their feet
now I don't accept heat (2x)

Once I thought America pure as Snow White
Once I thought presidents truthful and wise
now I don't think like no child (2x) - chorus

3.
what if you woke on the mean streets
unable to catch any eyes
would you love free enterprise (2x)

what if we lived in the third world
without two cars in the garage
would we love the U.S. army (2x) - chorus
