I noticed a guitarist in a bar band playing bar chords, a Rolling Stones song. I was surprised at how simple it was and was inspired to write sort of in that mode.

What I write can't but incorporate what I've been reading/thinking about. I read the Village Voice, The Nation, New York Review of Books... for years. And anything I could find by Noam Chomsky. The Left is denigrated in the U.S. because it's about sharing and caring, something taken as threatening to the privileged class who own the media and over-influence other institutions so the denigration is easy, the defense hard. Sure, there's freedom of the press if you can afford to buy one. They must be worried about the net and can be counted on to try to control it. Keep yr eyes peeled.
